In the past decade, DC has released a vast number of movies. They are covering all major characters. Almost all of the major characters had their movie. The only major character that was left out was The Flash. This is Flash’s first standalone movie in the DCEU. With a great response to the TV series Flash. DC fans are getting to watch their favorite superhero’s first-ever film. With a huge star cast being brought in to complement the plot of the film the movie director Andrés Muschietti has decided to amplify the impact of Flash’s debut. The main emphasis of this movie is based on the concept of time travel. This mind reminds the audience of Barry messing with the timeline to save his mom and changing the course of life for everyone creating a huge mess. The plot of this movie revolves specifically around this part of Barry’s life.

As in every other superhero movie, Barry opens the scene by saving people in danger and bringing them to a safe place. We shall discuss the plot in comparison to the plot of the TV series. Barry is trying hard to prove his father innocent in front of the court who is accused of murdering his wife that is Barry’s mother. Due to a lack of evidence, he is not able to prove his father’s innocence. One fine day he discovers his ability to go back in time and see multiple timelines in which he sees multiple outcomes of the events that had occurred in his life. From this point we see Barry striving to get back into his past and save his mom by altering some events that would save his mom so he could spend his life with her. Despite knowing the possibility of the outcomes of his actions. But once he gets into his past, he realizes what a terrible mistake he has made as now he is in even greater trouble than he was in before. As the story goes forward, we get to see many DC characters who make us reminisce about the good old days of DC comics.

The movie plot is seasoned by all Batman characters which makes it worth watching for all DC fanatics. The VFX in some places might be over the top and disturb your eye. In the scenes where Barry enters the converging point of all timelines, the cosmic-like colors could have been made simpler and more elegant to look. In some places, VFX looks weak and out of touch with the context of the scene. Barry’s character played by Ezra Miller is too childish and lacks maturity. In comparison to the character played by Grant Gustin in the The Flash TV series the character of Ezra Miller lacks purpose and seems confused. In some places, the plot feels like an overcooked broth where everything seems difficult to digest. Michael Keaton as Batman will take you back in time. The story is simple but too many characters all at once seem annoying. The audience might feel the lack of Henry Cavill’s presence as Superman despite seeing the heroics of Supergirl and might leave unimpressed. Unlike in the TV series, Flash makers have kept the killer of Barry’s mother a secret.

All in all, there’s a hidden message in the movie that I would like to share with you all. There are some things in life that we don’t have control over. And trying to control them is a fool’s job. Some things that are meant to happen will happen no matter what. We should develop a stoic mindset and face challenges in the face and overcome them instead of whining and complaining. Everyone who we are with will leave and they have to as no one’s immortal and every event is linked to each other. We must maintain a calm composure at times when we lose someone close and look forward to a better future by doing a good service to humanity.
